AURORA BAR ****** Located at the Luxor Hotel & Casino, this spacious venue is a very inviting place to chill out in the evening over a couple of drinks. It features a large, rectangular bar (equipped with bar top games for those gambling enthusiasts who insist on using every minute spent in Vegas on consistently plundering their life-savings)  with beautiful glass light fixtures designed to resemble the Aurora Borealis.  This unique decoration definitely goes a long way to distinguish this establishment from dozens of similar ones out there on the Strip and contributes to the overall elegance of the ambience. Aurora offers a lot of different seating arrangements, besides the obvious bar stools you can relax on comfortable black leather chairs, couches or even a chaise longue. The candle-adorned black glass tables, mirror accents and modern TV screens on the walls all help in accomplishing a polished, sleek look.  The different areas are separated from one another by partitions and the tables are, quite wisely so, not placed too close together, so the guests can enjoy a substantial degree of privacy. The upbeat music played throughout the evening mostly included pop and hip- hop pieces and constituted a pleasant, non-intrusive addition to the generally easy-going vibe of this venue. The drinks menu contained enough alcoholic treats to satisfy all kinds of different cravings and a nice selection of cocktails. The only downside of this lounge lies in the fact that it is open to the casino floor, but since it faces the front desk you are for the most part able to avoid the irritating pings and other gambling noises from the gaming section. All in all I would definitely recommend the Aurora Bar if you are looking for a sophisticated, relaxing place to spend a few hours with your Darling or friends (or both). It might not be the untamed, pulsating party center of Sin City, but it is certainly a soothing addition to its night-life scene.
